Centre of Expertise for Local Youth Work

The Centre of Expertise for Local Youth Work for 2020-2023 comprises the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Juvenia), The Finnish Youth Research Society, the City of Oulu administered Koordinaatti, MIELI Mental Health Finland, EHYT Finnish Association for Substance Abuse Prevention, and the City of Lahti administered Kanuuna, which is responsible for the developmental entity.

Koordinaatti acts as a national and European specialist on youth information and counselling, Koordinaatti also develops work practices and procedures, promotes networking and enhances competence for the Centre of Expertise for Local Youth Work. 

Koordinaatti’s objective, as a part of the centre of expertise objectives, is to collect, promote awareness and distribute good practices for local youth work in order to allow them to be openly used at national level. We support sustainable solutions for youth information and counselling as well as practices to introduce jointly produced models and tools for various actors.

Koordinaatti manages both Nutilastot.fi application and the service entity of Nuortenelämä.fi. Moreover, we implement training especially in virtual learning environment. Koordinaatti produces specialist and support services to address the needs of actors and guarantees also the bilingual aspect.
