ERYICA has recently published a new brochure in order to provide practical tips for the implementation of the European Youth Information Charter, as well as to increase its outreach. This user-friendly document gives practical ideas for the implementation of the Charter principles, showcases good practices and includes testimonies of young users of youth information services.
The document also features Koordinaatti's own online-service Nuortenelämä.fi. This is what our Planning Officer Riina Papinaho tells about principles we follow in providing information to young people:
"We clarify the various options a young person has in a particular situation. We do not tell them what to do. Instead, we encourage them to make independent and thoughtful choices based on the information they get and on their own values. We use reliable sources and provide them with comprehensive and unbiased information on the various options available. We guide young people to additional reliable information and services, if they wish to receive more support."
